Passion Pit

On Wednesday, June 17th 2009 at Mohawk Place Buffalo, NY Passion Pit took the stage. With about six different synths, beat machines, and samplers Passion Pit was not to be ignored at this set. Fans took notice of their hits prior to the show. Hearing people shout out song titles in hope to listen to them live. Luckily enough, Passion Pit performed a dreamy "Sleepyhead", and a really dancy "Cuddle Fuddle". Along with, "Smile Upon Me, Live to Tell the Tale, Little Secrets, Swimming in the Flood, Better Things", and some others that I cannot remember right now. The encore ended with a loud and crowd sing-a-long of "The Reeling". All in all it was a successful show for everyone.

By the way, everyone was a sweaty mess.

Artsy

This past weekend my friend Matt and I decided to take a walk down to the 52nd year of the Allentown Arts Festival. Before we made it down we made a pit stop at Krudmart located at 125 Elmwood Ave Buffalo, NY 14201 (Krudmart.com). There was a store wide sale of 30% off of everything and bins outside of mens/women's t-shirts & hoodies for $15-25 bucks. This my friends was a highlight of my trip down. I walked out with a really get t-tunic by Cheap Monday.

I wore it immediately the next day to round two of the Festival. Following Krudmart shopping, Matt and I cruised the goodies the festivities brung. Kettle corn, Fried Dough, & Lagniapples's veggie gumbo. I needed a taste of everything although my funds only covered a few of those mentioned. I also found some extra monies for my new friend, Bernie.

Bernie squeaks too! He's replacing the dog factor. I really want a dog right now. I miss having one. They're companionship is like nothing else.

Following day two of the Allentown Arts festival was my close friend's going away BBQ at Firebrand. Beginning at 5:30pm we set up blankets, chairs, & loads of vegan food. We all ate our hearts out and posed for numerous photos that have no shame.

Lulu- You have been a friend for only a short while however, I've felt more close to you in some situations than anyone else I've ever encountered. I am excited for your summer's length of experiences. This job will be nothing short of an awaited challenge. I am really happy for you. I know it's selfish to say however, I cannot wait until you return. Be safe and smile wide.

Prelude U.O. & Daedelus

On Friday, June 12th 2009 I thankfully enough worked a hectic morning/Lunch shift at The Washington Market. Which in it's self is a challenge. Taking orders from suits, no tips, and grumpy employees only inhibit stress. The day ended at 3pm where my lovely friend Joshua came to pick me up.

I locked up my bike and headed east toward Walden Galleria drive.

I had the most endearing interview with probably the cutest Albanian girl I've ever met. Maya- thank you so much for being a friend to me and not 'my superior". I felt like the Interview was something like this.

After about 40 minutes of what it seemed to be like 'catching up' with an old friend, I walked out with a job at Urban Outfitters. I guess this marks my startum as a professional hipster. Oh Well- I'll just enjoy my hefty discount.

DAEDELUS- LA made and produced. His set was nothing short of phenomenal. I am really happy to say that I spent a good twelve bucks to see this show. GHISLAIN POIRIER was also a really fun and energized DJ. I was in good company with a friend I havent seen in forever and surrounded by enthusiastic people. Thank You for Krudmart and Mike Marshall for bringing such phenomenal performers.

It all ended in a good laugh.

City, Party

So a few friends of mine went to look for decorations at a few places. I was invited to help create a theme for a secret party.
So we road our bikes to a few places. Thankfully enough, we escaped the two and a half hour search with a few valuable decorations and no bruises.

I unfortunately did not make it out to the secret party. Other plans were in the way and too big to push over. I really hope the party was a success.

Hello. It's Been a While.

So, lately I've been doing many things that have surprised me. Luck is such a fickle thing however, it does have a way of coming around. It's not a matter of being a good person or being mean. Sometimes, I think it's a matter of waiting for your turn. Also recognizing the fact that luck can be found in some of the most obvious things. Simplicity and familiarity are two things that I cherish in life. I have found both to be very important in valuing the things around me.

I've never felt so loved by the luck that I've come across. So to show how/what sorts of things I feel lucky about here are some photos from the last few months that stand out.

Oh and by the way- Hello Buffalo Summer, it's nice to see you again.

Robin Carmen- on his day of birth. He is one such person that I am lucky to have known for so many years. His finesse in his speech and his personal preference for pie.

My new Casio Exilim 12.1Megapixels camera. Pretty price and pretty color.

Buffalo, NY's Midnight-Sunday Night Bike Ride. Seeing over 200 People ride bikes around the city forces a shit grin on anyone's face.

Mike P. - Thank You Mohawk Place for April 10th 2009

New Apt., New Roommates. This is Bruce.

Matt Y.- a great friend who I've grown close with that gives sometimes the best analogies to things. I'm really glad you're in town buddy.
Nikki G. - You'll always be a sister to me. The past 10 months living with you has been phenomenal. You're always my go-to girl for a laugh, a smile, and a good cry every once in a while. I'm going to miss our late night chats in the pantry. I love you.

Erie Basin Marina - Buffalo, NY 14202 Where I grew up. I spent countless hours here walking up and down the strip, eating ice cream, & soaking up the sunsets. Welcome back to my life. I hope to see more of you the next 90 days.

Talented Musicians. Besnyo- what a run you've all had. Five years, various members, and two albums. Sean Mikula, give your self a pat on the back for being so dedicated to your passion. I wish you a successful summer of creation. I cannot wait to be a first listener to everything new as your roommate and loving enthusiast.

Thanks for viewing my post. Look forward to doing many more. Happy Summer!
