Humid conditions ahead

Summer means crafting up new pieces to throw together with your cut offs & chuck T's for riding bikes around the city. I found this lovely XL t-shirt adorned with hand screen printed bicycle friends. I cropped the tee and added extended side a-symetric tails and opened the neck by cutting the crew stitch off as well as removing the sleaves. It now creates a fantastic "side-boob" tee. It's great if you wear it with a black lace bra or a cute bright colored beadeau top undneath. Thanks to Lulu introducing me to Imboycrazy.com , Alexi has inspired me to change my beat up tees into sexy summer eye catching items.

Two other great thrifted finds of the week is this yellow striped tank with buttoned collar openings & this Bicycle embroidered tunic dress. love love love love.

Good times for a change

So, I've been a bit obsessed with the (500) Days of Summer soundtrack. I know the movie came out over a year ago but... I re watched my copy before I moved out of my apt. and I fell in love with Regina Spektor's song, Hero.  The montage of Joseph Gordon Levitt visiting Zooey DesChanel at her "party" which in turn  with split screen of Expectations and Reality was her engagement party with the song playing in the background is just phenomenal.

After watching the film I was inspired to create styles that made me think of LA. enjoy.

2nd Chic

As the new store manager of Second Chic I have had the fantastic opportunity to work with Buffalo's own Annie Adams. She has created a very great name for her self as a jewelry designer & crafter. As an established business owner  she opened a beautiful consignment store. With the help of myself, my best friend Lulu & my new assistant manager Kasey we've really found some beautiful pieces to dress the ladies of Buffalo. We choose pieces that women from all over WNY chose to consign with us. We carry an array of gently used dresses, skirts, tops, purses/bags, denim, & shoes. My favorite department of the store is our vintage section. This area is hand picked for the best and most wearable trendy vintage fashions priced accordingly. With new merchandise arriving weekly, Second Chic delivers affordable fashions for women of all ages, sizes and styles. We are located at 810 Elmwood ave in the Neighborhood Collective building. Down the driveway on the left side of Juniper Restaurant and on the right side of 806 hair salon & across the street from the Lexington Co-Op. Our hours are Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday 2-6pm, Thursday 2-8pm & Saturday's 11am-5pm. If you mention this ad you can receive 10% off of your next purchase. Thanks so much &  I really hope to see your faces soon.

In transition

I moved home, yep- I did it. I've given myself a year and a half plan to make money & save it to the best of my ability. I am hoping to move to a new place once I receive my degree in Public Communication/PR at Buffalo State College. I know those who know me and have followed me on here understand that I've been trying to scaddadle for the last 5 years or so. Well, I'm one step closer to making my dreams come true. Look out Philly, Chicago, Brooklyn, or Seattle for plans of visits & potential career announcements. For now, I'll just continue to with my ever sperratic updating of my hand picked vintage items. As always, thanks for checking in.
